Below are a few of my own favourites!

Iris Hantverk catalogue

Iris Hantverk is a Swedish organisation that has been employing blind and sight impaired persons to make high quality household items since 1903. Perhaps some of you have heard of them or at least seen their brushes or other products? I personally think they are wonderful. And after seeing their new catalogue, I like them even more! It's styled by Cia Wedin, shot by Anna Kern and designed by Anna Larsson.

Anyway, the Swedish government has decided to discontinue their benefits towards Iris Hantverk, so now they have to make it on their own. I'd be really sad to see them go, so please, if you can, show your support by buying something from Iris Hantverk. They have two stores in Stockholm, one in Kungsgatan 55, and one in Västerlånggatan 24. If you don't live in Stockholm they have lots of retailers abroad. They are planning a webshop, but until then you can find some of their products online for example here.

Smallable FW11

French webshop Smallable, focused on kids fashion and decor, is one of my longtime sponsors here and I think they are worth some extra attention. Right now the store is full of stylish new products from the Autumn/Winter collections of brands like Stella McCartney, Finger in the Nose, Isabel Marant and Mini Rodini. I made a little autumn moodboard of my favorite products, but for some real inspiration you should check out their online magazine!

Giveaway: Poster from L'Affiche Moderne!

This giveaway is now closed and a winner has been drawn!

My sponsor L'Affiche Moderne has generously offered to host a giveaway for you! The prize is a large size (50x70 or 50x50 cm, worth € 59) poster of your choice from their big range of prints and photographs! All you have to do to have a chance to win is tell me which poster you want and why. The winner will be drawn on Thursday, May 26.

Here are some of my favourites, but do click over to L'Affiche Moderne to pick your own favourite!

Giveaway: Photograph by Reith Olsson!

Time to cheer us all up with a little giveaway, don't you think? The price is a photo by Reith Olsson in the size of 50x70 cm, provided by The Nordic Arthouse, an online art gallery selling modern art prints and photographs by Swedish artists. It's a signed and limited edition of just 150 prints, worth around $200 (1300 sek). All you have to do to get a piece of Swedish birch forest on your wall is to tell me why you want it and where you would put it. Write a comment below and I will pick the winner next friday, March 4. Good luck!

Introducing Black Sheep White Light!

My newest sponsor is Canadian Black Sheep White Light, who sells wonderful eco-friendly long haired Icelandic sheep skins. The skins come in four different colours, there are white and black but also grey and spotted. I have one of their black skins myself and I can't recommend them enough! I've only had Ikea's cheap skins before, but this is something completely different. First of all they are much bigger and the wool is long, between 10 and 20 cm. And also they have this beautiful shine or luster that I haven't seen on other sheep skins, and they are super soft! I am using mine to cover an old lounge chair, and it has now become my daughter's favorite place to sit. We have also used our skin outside, as a warm and cozy place to sit in the snow. But enough talking now, on to the pictures!

Introducing Ferm Living!

Yes, my latest sponsors are the fabulous Ferm Living! I'm sure you have all heard about them before, this Danish company that started as a graphic design firm, then in 2006 they released a collection of graphic wallpaper, and success was a fact. Since then they have evolved to making more than just wallpaper and wallstickers, now you can accessorize your whole house with Ferm Living products. They make blankets, candle holders, napkins, bedlinen, cushions and even toys!

Ferm Living just came out with their new Autumn 2010 collection, and I love it! The colours are just right, and they have triangles on just about everything! I love triangles, it's one of very few patterns in my home. Triangles and stripes, that's my style. Here are a few of my favorites from the collection. Don't you just love the styling and photography too?

Introducing Papershop!

I have a new sponsor that I would love to introduce! Their name is Papershop, and they are a Finnish webshop stocked full of the most wonderful, carefully chosen paper goods from small manufacturers from all over the globe. Special care has been taken to choose high quality products made in a sustainable and ethically acceptable way.
The selection changes with seasons and trends, and new items are stocked every month. You can find anything you need made of paper here, like postcards, wrapping paper, notebooks and posters. And if you can't find the perfect invitation for your party, the girls behind Papershop are happy to make it for you!

Below are some of my favorites from their current stock, a postcard, a poster and some wrapping paper with pretty birds:

Introducing Nunc!

Hi all, I hope you are still out there! I'm so sorry for leaving you without posts last week, but my life was turned upside down and I had no possibilities to write here. Now I'm back in my home, and things should be quite sorted, so hopefully this week will be better here!

To start the week off I'd like to introduce my latest sponsor, a Swedish webshop called Nunc, which means Now! Nunc wants to help you decorate like you dress, according to your mood or the seasons, just however you feel right now! They love things with a story to tell, so you'll also find vintage items from the 50's, 60's and 70's in their shop, beside all the wonderful new pieces from a plethora of Scandinavian and international manufacturers.

One thing that definitely stands out in Nunc's webshop is the great pictures and styling, and below are some examples of that. Please take note all you other shop owners, because high quality pictures are the most important thing in a webshop! I love seeing the items in a home environment, together with other objects, it makes it so much easier to imagine what the products would look like in my own home.

Ceramics by Gustaf Nordenskiöld

Swedish designer Gustaf Nordenskiöld just opened up a webshop with international shipping, so now everyone who likes his beautiful handmade ceramics can get their hands on it! I think they would make excellent Christmas presents, and if anyone is thinking of gifting me, I'd love to get the Deform mini hook, please. I promise I've been good...

Let me introduce my newest sponsor!

I'd like you all to get to know my latest sponsor, Sammy Rose! Sammy Rose is a small Swedish webshop (don't worry though, the site is translated into English too)  run by Jenny and Jens, selling childrens clothing with great prints, their own designer wallpaper and some truly stylish art prints, both photographs and graphic design. Check it out for yourselves here!

And don't miss the blog, where they share pictures and stories from their family life together with some gorgeous photos from their home (in renovation, but soon to be finished, I think). I love their style!

Thanks Jenny and Jens for sponsoring me!

Save the Children opens a design webshop

The Swedish branch of international charity organisation Save the Children are opening a webshop at the end of this month, where you will be able to buy limited edition design objects from designers and illustrators like Cassandra Rhodin and several other big Swedish names.
