Whatever happened to the wonderful summer weather we had last week? A week ago I was laying in a deck chair, wearing a bikini and sipping on fruit smoothies. This weekend, it's 5°C and it's raining sideways... Time for hot chocolate, grilling marshmallows on sticks in the fireplace, and watching a movie. Not what I had in mind, but still pretty nice. I hope you are all having a great weekend, wherever you are and whatever the weather is like there!

A bag full of sweet photos matching the dreary November weather outside my window. All the colourful leaves have fallen now, and left is only grey and brown hues. A thin layer of snow would be nice, to brighten things up a bit, but since we are having unseasonably warm temperatures this autumn, that probably won't happen for a while. On the other hand, it's really nice to be able to pick mushrooms in November, while we were up to our knees in snow this time last year.
I've had a busy couple of weeks, thereby the lack of updates over here... But yesterday I got some new motivation to post here, as I discovered that my blog was chosen for a
list of the 20 best design blogs in UK magazine The Telegraph! I'm very good company, so check it out!

Ok, so it seems the internet Gods aren't with me. The last week has been full of internet trouble and ended with our electricity cable being cut off. Perhaps it's a sign I should just take a break from blogging. So I will. I'll be posting sporadically, when I can, but don't expect daily updates for the next few weeks.

We are having one of those gray and windy days today, more resembling an autumn day than the end of May. All I want to do is curl up under the covers with a book and a cup of tea. But that ain't gonna happen, because there is a house full of children to take care of, a shelf to put up, food to cook and lots of rhubarbs to take care of. I'm thinking chutney this time, after last weeks pies and compotes...
