Monday Mix, one day late... Why does the year always start off with a hysterical rush? And why are all the design fairs happening at the same time? I am in the middle of arranging a blog tour taking place during Stockholm Design Week, which leaves me no time to cover either Formex, Cologne or Design Trade... Luckily, lots of other bloggers are doing that, so we can all still our curiosity anyway. It's so nice to see all these new products and brands being launched now!
Yes! Finally a week with some free time to catch up on all the projects laying around half finished. Everything from blog posts and emails to birthday presents and art walls will get some well needed time and attention this week. After a long sunny summer and an autumn that started off like a whirlwind, it feels great to finally have some time to catch up!
Back to my basic graphic expression today, black, white and gray with lots of angles.
Nudes or light wood, mixed with white, gray and olive. Not too sweet though, the soft tones need something more edgy to balance the atmosphere and add some interest.
A peek at what is inspiring me right now. Strong black and white contrasts, attitude and mess. How about you, what are you inspired by right now?

Let's start this first week of having a new editorial schedule off properly, by posting the first of what I hope will be a long running feature here on the blog; Monday Mix. It's a collage, or several, on a theme that inspires me at the moment. Today it's all about soft natural tones of brown and beige mixed with crispy whites and graphic black.
