EMMAS DESIGNBLOGG

Design and style from a Scandinavian perspective

Photographer Idha Lindhag

I found Swedish photographer Idha Lindhag through Lotta Agaton's pictures for the porcelain company Rörstrand. The top photo is from that campaign, but the rest are from other features and I don't know who styled those.

Photographer Marjon Hoogervorst

In one of the posts in my resume below I mentioned photographer Marjon Hoogervorst. I revisited her portfolio as I linked to her and found this serene Dutch home styled by Anouk B that will have to represent the clean slate that is the new year... Happy 2011, let it be a great year!

Update! The rest of the photos were removed, but they will be published in the Dutch Magazine 101 Woonideeen in June.

Photographer Magnus Mårding

Magnus Mårding is one of Sweden´s best established international photographers, with the entire globe as his market. He made his international breakthrough in the mid and late nineties, with iconic editorials for magazines such as Stockholm New, GQ and Condé Nast Traveler. Ever since, he's been working with major international advertising campaigns and editorials. Magnus is the one who shot the pictures for Alcro's latest campaign which I posted here.

Photographer Manolo Yllera

Do you remember the post about the Delfin & Postigo house I wrote back in January? The photos spread like fire over the internet, and I believe photographer Manolo Yllera had quite a peak in the visitor stats of his portfolio in the weeks following that post. Well, yesterday I was reminded about Yllera by a post on the Love Nordic design blog, and decided to pay him a visit again. Here is what I found:

Photographer Mark Eden Schooley

Found via Lotta Agaton's blog, Paris based American photographer Mark Eden Schooley. You have probably seen his work before in Marie Claire Maison, Selvedge, Elle Decor Italy or Bloom.

Photographer Mikkel Adsbøl

The last photo in my previous post is shot by Danish photographer Mikkel Adsbøl. I love the way his pictures are either extremely light or very dark, he really knows how to use lighting, and both his light and dark shots are extremely beautiful! I was feeling kind of "Autumnish" today, so I chose some dark and moody pictures to show you here. You like?
All of the pictures below are from a campaign for Tine K Home.

Carte Blanche by Petra Bindel

When I read Lotta Agaton's blog the other day I was reminded of the talented Swedish photographer Petra Bindel. On her blog I found these shots from a series called Carte Blanche, styled by Emma Persson Lagerberg and published in Elle Decoration UK a year ago. I have posted the second picture here earlier, but I'd never seen the rest of the photos before.

Wood White Yellow by Trine Thorsen

Photographer Trine Thorsen shot this series of photos called White Wood Yellow. I love the colour combo, in fact yellow is one of very few colours I like in my house, otherwise it's mostly white, wood, black and grey.

Photographer Pernille Kaalund

Danish photographer Pernille Kaalund's work is often seen in the magazines I read, like Boligmagasinet, BoligLiv and Elle Interiør. Pernille has been working together with stylist/journalist Louise Kamman Riising in their company heyhome since 1995, and together they have built a quite impressive portfolio of which a lot is available to see on their site. I chose some pics that I liked to show you here. Enjoy!

Trine Thorsen is blogging!

I don't know why I haven't found Norwegian photographer Trine Thorsen's blog So Mee blog before, because it's been around since February, and she is one of my favorite photographers. But I finally found it yesterday, through the blog on Elle Interiør. Trine blogs about both her own work and other photographers, designers and products and also shares some recipes and shows the process of decorating her house. Trine was the one who shot the top picture in my post from yesterday, for an upcoming article in Elle Interiør. Here is some more from that feature, and a few more pictures.

Photographer Per Ranung

Per Ranung is one of Sweden's most hired interior photographers, his work is often seen in Elle Interiör and I really like his style. Here is my pick from his portfolio, enjoy!

Photographer Ditte Isager

Have you seen that Danish photographer Ditte Isager has a blog where she publishes a lot of her work? It's great, full of her beautiful photos! Some of the portrait shots really makes me want to see the full stories, the homes of celebrities  like Cecilie Manz, Vincent van Duysen and Kasper Salto sure looks interesting...

Garden shots by Stellan Herner

In case anyone was wondering where I have been the last couple of days, I can tell you I was on my hands and knees, in the garden. Pulling weeds. And now I really need something to remind my of why I'm doing this, because with 3000 sqm of garden, let me tell you, there are A. Lot. Of. Weeds. I'm nowhere near finished yet. Actually, you can hardly see the difference.
So that is why I sat down to browse the portfolios of some of my favorite photographers to find some inspiring garden photos. And yay, I think I struck gold with the portfolio of Stellan Herner! These pics are exactly what I needed to find the energy to pull some more weeds! I hope you like them too!

Photographer Bobo Olsson

Another photographer with the same agent as Fabian Björnstjerna who shot the kitchen below, is Bobo Olsson. He regularly works for the mags Residence and Elle Interiör and I have featured his work before, but only credited the stylist then. Now I want to shine the light on Bobo, as I think he is a great photographer! His works stands out in the way that the light isn't the same as in most other pics by Scandi photographers, and the contrasts are harder, which I think makes Bobo's work looks more international.

Photographer Per Gunnarsson

I wrote about Swedish photographer Per Gunnarsson last November, but now he has a whole new website, and it's great! Full of crispy bright pictures of Swedish homes and summer houses, and lots of his features for Sköna Hem are available here, which is very nice news to me as I've been looking for those online before. Take a look for yourself!

Photographer Marjon Hoogervorst

Dutch photographer Marjon Hoogervorst is probably a well known name for those of you who reads magazines like Elle Decoration, VT Wonen, Elle Wonen or RUM, but for those of you who don't have access to these mags I thought I'd show you some of her work. You can view the rest of her portfolio on vorstin.nl.

Photographer Johan Sellén

Swedish photographer Johan Sellén works in both Sweden and China, as you can see in the pictures below. His work is often featured in Swedish magazines, and I think you can see why...
