Blog tips!

Annaleena wrote a post about their latest project in the styling class lead by Lotta Agaton that she and some other very talented ladies are attending. One of the pictures she showed caught my eye, and it was styled by Ica Carlsson, who just started her own blog. It looks very promising, have a look here.

More blog love!

Another great blogger, who also is an amazing photographer and has a wonderful sense of style, is Sofia from Mokkasin! She is just about to start her own webshop, launching September 20, and I'm very curious to see it as I'm sure it's going to be full of great stuff!

Blog Love

I just scrolled through Weronica's blog En Mammas Dag and felt I had to share these photos of hers with you all. She is such a great photographer and stylist!

Blog Tips!

I found a new blog! Well, new to me that is, since it has been up and running since 2008.
It's called Mariaemb and is written by Maria who just moved into her new apartment a couple of months ago, and it's already looking great! Here are some of my favorite pics from her new home:

Another new blog, and this one is actually new, is honeypielivingetc! This isn't exactly a blog on interiors, or at least it's not only about interiors, but it's a blog full of mixed pictures from the editor's life. But oh my god, the photos! She is such a talented photographer, and on top of that it seems that everyone in her family look like super models. And she lives in a huge whitepainted old house. Do you need anything more to go check it out?

Blog Tips!

I just have to share these two awesome Swedish blogs with you!

The first one, Riazzoli., is one I have stumbled over many times but always forgot to add to my RSS list for some strange reason. This time I found it through Tant Johanna, and I'm not going to lose it this time! Riazzoli. is a mix of the editor's own photos and ones she collects online. I love them all! Below is a selection of Riazzoli.'s own photos:

The second blog I want to share with you today is STIL inspiration, owned by Pella who often comments here, so I wasn't surprised when I clicked over to her and found that she shares a lot of my taste! Right now she is making moodboards of her autumn inspirations, so do click over quick because she updates A LOT! Below are a few of my favorites found on her blog:

Blog Tips!

I just wanted to do a little shout out about the blog French By Design. Always beautiful, always inspiring. Go see for yourself!

Here is a taster:

Blog tips!

Looking for some new blogs to read! I found some new favorites lately, and I'd love to share them with you. So here they are, in no particular order:

Adventurous Design Quest is a blog that looks almost like a pin board, click around to find some great pics of fresh, inspirational photos.

Holmberg Everyday Living lets you follow the renovation and decoration of a house photographed by the very talented blog owner, mixed with other shots from great stylists and photographers.

Mo+Mo Living is one site you don't want to miss, curated and edited by designer Michelle Wentworth. The photos and styling are amazing, and the blog posts and articles gives you hands on tips on how to live a stylish, minimal and sustainable life. Highly inspiring! There is also a great section called resources where you can find links to the editor's favourite shops, books and products.

*Update!* I just realised that half of the list magically disappeared when I posted this, so here we go again!

Some new to me, others I rediscovered, and some old favorites, enjoy!

Blog love: En mammas dag - Weronica

I have read Weronicas part of the blog En mammas dag (it's actually two blogs in one but I like her part best) for a long time now, probably almost since the start. And it just keeps getting better! Weronica's talents as a stylist and photographer is getting more obvious with every post, and she could very well compete with some of the top stylists and photographers in the country. I definitely think she should quit her day job and start a business instead, so that she would get the acknowledgement and payment she deserves for her great work! These photos were all shot and styled by Weronica, in her own home. Inspiring, right?

Bathroom details by Mia Linnman

Swedish artist Mia Linnman runs one of my favorite blogs, Solid Frog. She posted these beautiful pictures from her bathroom today which inspired me to clean and style our bathrooms. I don't own a lot of perfume or jewelery, but I do have quite a collection of make up that could be used to pretty up the space instead of hiding in a cupboard. I believe that will have to be my weekend project. What are your plans for this weekend, are you doing any projects at home or are you just going to relax? However you whish to spend it, I hope you have a great weekend!

Christmas at Desirée's house

I just saw this post over at Desirée's blog Vosges Paris and felt I had to show it here too! I know I said there wouldn't be any more xmas pics here, but then you all said I should keep them coming, so here you go! And don't forget to click over to Vosges Paris for more pics, both from this room and the rest of Desirée's beautiful home!

April and May, a Dutch Deco blog

Through Victoria over at sfgirlbybay, I found a new (to me) blog which really appealed to me, called April and May. It is written by Jantine who works as an interior stylist, and she posts both her own and other peoples pictures in a great and stylish mix. Below are some photos from her own home, which is both serene and simple but at the same time warm and welcoming. She has lots of Ikea furniture (like the black table with spindle legs, her desk and the white floor lamp) but mixes them with big statement pieces for a personal look.
The site for April and May, Jantine's own styling business, will soon be up, and I can't wait to see more of her work!

Christmas at Kjersti's house

Today's Christmas inspiration comes from the home of blogger Kjersti, owner of the popular Norwegian blog Kjerstis Lykke. Kjersti's home is simple and bright, modern mixed with country and industrial touches, and looks very cosy! The top photo shows the advent calendar she made for her son, it's a very simple project, and although it's a few days too late for you to make it this year, you could still save the idea for next Christmas.

Villa Stoor

Maliin Stoor is a Swedish blogger and decorator who in my eyes has a great sense of style. Her own house, Villa Stoor, is often featured on her blog, and gives me lots of inspiration for both big and small projects in my own house. Maliin is very handy and innovative, so although her house is decorated in a modern style and kept in the colours black and white, it is still very personal and has lots of stylish and clever solutions. I'd like to give you some examples here:

Maliins bedroom with a black ceiling, concrete wall, white painted pallets used as a bed frame and naked bulbs.

The en-suite bathroom with a mix of vintage mirrors above the washbasin and a light made from an old funnel, with a string of lights adorning the wire. you also get a glimpse of the concrete floors that run throughout the entire house.

The open plan kitchen and dining space, with a mix of whitepainted wooden chairs around the Bruno Mathsson table and a branch with a string of fairy lights as a ceiling light.

Maliin free-hand painted this "rug" on their concrete deck.

More pallets, used here as a table in the garden. Notice the log sculptures in the background.

A big cluster of work lights welcomes the visitors.

Blog Tips!

Sorry for being so quiet this week! I've had my head full of other work, so the little screen time I had was spent on working on my other projects. I'd like to wish you a happy weekend by giving you the links to two blogs I found this week, both connected to Finland in different ways.

The first blog is called Annaleenas hem, written by a Finnish (at least that is what I conclude since her name is Finnish) fashion and interior stylist living in the Swedish countryside. The blog is full of wonderful photos of her and her friend's homes in a variety of styles. So no matter if you favor shabby chic, modern, retro or the colorful style, you can find something you like here. I fell head over heels for her kitchen (pictured below), I've never seen anything like it!

The second blog I discovered is Highway Design Blog, where the writer is based in Jakobstad, Finland, but the blog is written in Swedish (Finland's second official language). I showed pictures from the home of this blogger here back in June, but I found those in a newsletter from a webshop and they didn't link to the blog, so I was surprised to see them here! Johanna, the editor of this blog, is a designer with her own company called Highway Design where she designs stylish high quality textile products.
Here are some photos that I didn't publish in my last blog post about Johanna's home. Lots of ideas to "borrow" there!

Blog tip: Trendey

While I'm being quiet, hop on over to this nice deco blog I found today! It's called Trendey, and is available in both English and Swedish. Behind it are two Swedish sisters who started blogging as a way to exchange ideas with eachother when they were both moving in to new homes.

Blog baby: i lay my hat and wish to stay office

The Swedish equivalent to The Selby; i lay my hat and wish to stay just had a baby, called i lay my hat and wish to stay office. It is of course focused on offices and work places, and the second office out belongs to Swedish stylist Saša Antić (photos below). I think it's really interesting to get to see some behind the scenes pics from creative people, see what they are inspired by and what their personal favorites are.

Kitka's livingroom

The author's of the blog Kitka have the best sense of style I've seen in a long time, and if you want a part of it, you can just hop over to their shop Mjölk, full of modern Scandinavian and Japanese designs. For some strange reason, Scandinavian and Japanese style are very similar even though we live in opposite corners of the world . It's all about simplicity, light wood and natural materials, and often it's impossible to tell the two styles apart. I love them both!

This is the livingroom of Juli and John, the couple behind Kitka. It's located in Toronto, but it sure looks very Scandinavian to me! It's just the light that isn't quite the same...
