We are having one of those gray and windy days today, more resembling an autumn day than the end of May. All I want to do is curl up under the covers with a book and a cup of tea. But that ain't gonna happen, because there is a house full of children to take care of, a shelf to put up, food to cook and lots of rhubarbs to take care of. I'm thinking chutney this time, after last weeks pies and compotes...
Here are some pictures that match the weather today, enjoy!

Just a random mix of eye candy today, but I thought the photos worked very well together! I hope you all have a nice weekend!

A little storage inspiration in your bag of mixed eye candy today, enjoy!

Spring is back! Today is warm and sunny, so I'm going to spend the day outside catching some rays and working in the garden. Perhaps we'll visit the neighbour's cows too! What are you doing today? Not working I hope? But if you have a work space as nice as these below, perhaps working on a Saturday wouldn't be so bad...

My ultimate home office would have a Cherner or Jacobsen chair, a classic desk light and lots of inspiring prints and cut-outs randomly attached to the wall. Just like the in the pictures below!
What would your ultimate work space look like?

A huge trend right now is to personalize your home by having a lot of your things on display instead of hiding them away in cupboards and boxes. So get all your stuff out and make some nice vignettes!

I got an email from a reader renovating her bathroom, asking if I could post some inspiration for her. And yes, of course. Her you go Maria, and everyone else looking for some stylish bathrooms!

Today's Saturday Sweets might look like a weird mix at first glance, but in my head it actually makes complete sense. You see, I'm planning to steal some space in one of the kids' rooms to make a home office for myself. I haven't decided yet who's room I'm going to invade, there are three to choose from.
Lo's room is very small, so I think she will get to keep her tiny space to herself. Nemo has the biggest room, but it's in the basement, so it has very little natural light. Sebastian's room has lots of light, even a small balcony, and we have just started renovating it so it's going to be very nice and bright when we are finished. I wonder what he would say about me moving into his freshly decorated room? I doubt it would be very popular. I feel a bribe coming up... Any suggestions on how to convince a 10 year old boy to share his room with his mom?

A crazy mix of eye candy today, enjoy!

Sorry about the lack of updates this week, I have some personal things I need to deal with right now, so I haven't had much of neither time or inspiration. But I couldn't let you go without your weekly treat, so here you go! A very mixed bag of sweets today, with everything from colorful kitchens to serene bedrooms. Enjoy!
(As usual, all the pictures are linked to their source.)

Oh, are you here looking for a treat? Here you go!

I have a folder on my computer where I save pics that I want to use as inspiration for my own home. The photos are sorted into a number of subfolders, and the one that holds the most pictures is one called Storage & Decoration. Since these were only meant for personal use I didn't note the sources for all of them, but I wanted to share some of my favourites with you anyway. If you know the source for any of the pics, please let me know!
Enjoy, my own private candy bag!

Are you all having a nice weekend? I am! So far it's been mostly about hanging out with the kids, playing videogames, doing some crafts and arranging and tidying some toys and craft materials. In a minute we are all going to make a fruit salad to have for dessert later, and although it's great fun to be in the kitchen together, seeing my children handling knives always makes me a bit nervous. Do you feel like that too?
I don't have a theme for todays candy bag, it's just going to be a mix of nice pictures I have found lately. Enjoy!

Help yourselves to the first candy bag of 2011, I hope you like it!

Ok, I promise, this is the last bit of Christmas inspiration I'm giving you this year, as I know some of you are getting tired of it. Next week's bag of sweets will be completely free of baubles. I can't promise you there won't be fairy lights or twigs though...
Saturday Sweets, The Christmas edition! If you haven't finished your xmas decorating yet, I hope you will find some ideas here!
Are you finished with your holiday shopping yet? I'm not quite finished, but when I am I will take an evening for myself and shut myself in the basement and wrap all the gifts, which for me is one of the best things about christmas. I just love wrapping gifts! Some years ago I worked at a department store just before christmas, and they were famous for their beautifully wrapped packages, so I learned quite a few tricks there which I still use sometimes. But I get new ideas every year, and often match all the gifts so they will look good under the tree. Do you do that too? What theme will you have for your packages this year? I'm thinking newspapers, brown craft paper, white paint, white and black ribbon...
