&tradition's latest news styled by Pernille Vest
Danish interior stylist Pernille Vest is a regular contributor in my favorite magazine, RUM. I love everything she does, and these shots of &tradition's latest products that was launched at Stockholm Furniture Fair this week, is no exception. The new Hoof lounge table is sure to be a big hit, and I bet we will see it everywhere this Spring.
The photos below are shot by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen, one half of the tremendously successful design and architecture studio NORM. I am very impressed by his multiple talents!

Stockholm Design Week
Today is the start of Stockholm Design Week, so I will be running around town on a million press shows in the next few days, starting tonight with the Elle Decoration Design Awards. And tomorrow is the opening of the Stockholm Furniture Fair. It's going to be lots of fun and I hope to have some nice things to share with you here at the end of the week, but for now, I'm logging off. I hope to be able to update the blog's facebook page via my phone, but I won't be bringing my computer, so probably no updates here until Thursday.

Joanna Laajisto lives here!
One of the most popular pictures on my blog is one from Tiger Sushi, a sushi restaurant in Espoo, Finland, designed by interior architect Joanna Laajisto. I love that photo too, and I think it sums up the current trends very well, as it shows plywood walls, black details, ceramics, metal, and a mix of Japanese and Scandinavian style.
Today I would like to invite you to an exclusive tour of Joanna's home in Töölö, Helsinki! Joanna and her photographer husband Mikko Ryhänen renovated the entire place last year, and then Mikko shot these pictures. Some of them were published in the Finnish interior magazine Glorian Koti, but this is the first time they are showed online.
Est Magazine Issue #4
The 4th issue of Est Magazine is launching on Tuesday, January 31. It's a great Australian online mag, and this issue will be focusing on Scandinavian style, with features like a Stockholm guide by Joanna from Simple Blueprint, a house tour in Tine K's home and a great styling job by Marjon Hoogervorst and AnoukB! Here is a sneak peek, and if you like it as much as I do, don't forget to check out the entire issue here in a few days.

The Lab, Copenhagen
What a wonderful photo studio! It's called The Lab, located in Copenhagen, and I found it through Lotta Agaton. I believe she has been there shooting something recently, and I'm very curious to see the results!

The Vosges Paris kitchen
I've been reading about my friend Desiree's kitchen makeover on her blog Vosges Paris, and I've been extremely curious to see the final results. I had seen a few photos, but here is the full picture, shown for the first time. Thank you so much Desiree for letting me be the first one to share these wonderful photos!
After starting her kitchen makeover last summer, Desiree got so inspired she decided to not let it stop there... She knocked down several walls, painted or stripped other walls, laid new floors, well she practically renovated and redecorated her entire apartment! Have a look here if you want to see more of her home. The style is a mix of rustic French industrial and modern Scandinavian simplicity.

Friday the 13th
Let's celebrate Friday the 13th with two quite spooky rooms! This large house in London not only has some gorgeous light and minimalistic rooms, it also has two rooms that have been totally spared from renovations, with rough walls, bare bricks and exposed beams. They look like the perfect place for a Halloween shoot, and I love it! The house is available for film or photo shoots through Shoot Factory.

At home with Hope
Hope is one of my favorite fashion brands. Their clothes have a great simplicity with cool details, the quality is great, and almost everything is black or grey. So it should come as no suprprise that I also love this home of one of the designers, Stefan Söderberg. I have posted about this home before, but I just couldn't resist showing it again when I saw the pictures over at Design & Form. Perhaps all of you haven't seen it?

The White Briefs live here!
The moment I saw this home in the latest issue of Family Living, I just knew I had to post it here, because it is totally a m a z i n g! The owners, Henriette and Peter, live here with their daughter, and run their company The White Briefs from here as well. The 300 sqm house, located in the most beautiful part of southern Sweden called Österlen, was originally used as stables but after some substantial renovations, no one would guess... But there are still plenty of original details left, like the huge stable doors and the beams in the ceiling.
They chose a basic, paired down style for the interiors, with a white base and concrete floors. The furniture are mostly vintage or built on site. However, the burnt yellow hue of the kitchen tiles certainly stands out and creates a great focal point!

Rental beauty
I came across this beauty today while searching for a new apartment. I sure wouldn't mind staying there! It's the first furnished apartment for rent that I have seen where I wouldn't feel the need to change it all up. Because this is already perfect. Of course, it's also totally out of my range. But if anyone knows of a small apartment for rent in Stockholm, where I could live with my kids for at least 6 months, please let me know!

Tiled kitchen
I saw a picture of this amazing kitchen on Pinterest, and when I followed the link to it's source, I knew I had to share it here. The lights and the tiled bench are lovely. And look at those taps!

Malmö or Paris?
Welcome to a new blog year! I have high hopes for 2012! Let's make it an exciting year, filled with new adventures!
The flat below, filled with a mix of treasures from French fleamarkets and modern design pieces (and actually some things from Ikea as well), looks like a classic Parisian home. But it isn't! It's located in Malmö, in the south of Sweden.

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!
I will be taking a short break, but I will be back here on January 1, to draw the winner of the last giveaway and resume posting as usual.
I'd like to thank all the sponsors of my Christmas Calendar, I hope all of you you enjoyed the giveaways, and that the winners are happy with their prizes! But I think we are all ready for some normal posts now...
