Design and style from a Scandinavian perspective

Weekly Wants #4

1 | 2 | 3 | 4
I am looking for new chairs for the kitchen. The fibreglass Eames chairs I have now are beautiful, but I just can't seem to get comfortable in them, and to be honest I am a bit bored with them... They have been seen so much in the last few years that it seems everyone has them, and I don't want my home to look like everyone elses. So now I'm on the lookout for something else. The new chairs should be comfortable to sit on with your feet pulled up underneath you (because that is how I prefer to sit), and they should have a clean design that my eyes can rest on for the next fifteen years or so. Could be a design classic or something from a new designer, as long as the quality is good.
Right now these are my best candidates, but I am also considering a bench for one side of the table, just haven't found the perfect one yet.

    Hi Emma
In don't think number 4 looks very comfortable.

Svar: No? I'll have to try it at the Artek store first, but I have a hard time believing that Alvar Aalto made an uncomfortable chair. :)

Hi Emma. What about Hay's J77?

Svar: Hmmm, a little too plain, I think. It's beautiful, but it doesn't speak to me, if you know what I mean?
