Leaning planks as a styling trend?

While downloading the photos of the last post from Janne Peters' portfolio, I found these pics, and couldn't resist showing them here too! That thing with leaning planks or boards against the wall seems to be a big styling trend right now, and I think it looks great. What do you think? Have we seen enough of this already, or do you still like it?

    Oh no, too much like my own house actually: always some parts of a wall or book case taken down or waiting to be put up. BUT - a fun styling accent, I'm sure ;-)

    I lke it ... mayby not planks like this but I do have posters frames and even a large frame I added recently against the wall I like the je ne sais quoi of it ...

    Trend or not I am covering half of the walls on plywwod in my stand at Pulse show this June, I hope it looks good, I will mis it with an old piece of furniture and styly it with my products.

    Loving this blog. I like the previous suggestion by Desiree of leaning frames against a wall. I stored some planks of wood at home for a while but it didn't look right somehow as a design feature. More like....storing some planks.

    I'm sorry but I'm really not a fan of the leaning planks - to me it just looks like building work is going on in the house and they are there temporarily. Maybe with a large minimalistic space it may look OK - but not really for me I'm afraid!

    I have a plank leaning on the wall of the vestibule, waiting for me to install the hairpin legs I got to make a bench with it. I'm just procrastinating completing the bench but now I can say I'm trendy :)
