Christmas calendars
There is still time to make an advent calendar for someone you love! But time is short, so make it a simple one, like any of these.
I am making the whole blog into a Christmas calendar! Starting on Thursday Dec 1 there will be great giveaways here every day up until Christmas eve, as a little way of saying thank you to all of my fantastic readers.

Getting ready for Christmas
It seems you are all ready to start thinking about decorating for the holidays, so I will just keep the Christmas pics flowing here! The photos below are what I would like my own Christmas to look like. Lots of white, natural elements and paper details. And of course, tiny trees. In my dreams I will have time to make a black
Himmeli too.

Deko. (Instructions

STAY Copenhagen Hotel
If anyone is interested in seeing which hotel the pictures in the last post is from, it's
STAY Copenhagen. A design hotel totally decked out in
Hay furniture, both their own designs and other brands available in their
shops. You can stay for as long or short periods as you like, and it is even possible to buy your own apartment, with or without hotel services.

Minimalist Christmas at the design hotel
It's that time of the year again. I've held back on all the Christmas stuff until now, but since it is the first Advent Sunday next weekend, I guess it is time now. Or do you think it's too early? Am I stressing you out? I wanted to start off carefully, not to overwhelm anyone, so I chose some photos that aren't "over-the-top-christmassy".
I found this
article in Bo Bedre about a couple staying at a stylish design hotel for a whole year while their house is being built. Of course they are celebrating the holidays there too, so now they have decorated the hotel studio apartment for Christmas. It's quite minimalistic, and I like the idea of spraypainting the tree and bay leaf wreath to get it to match the interiors. And I'm totally convinced that my own Christmas tree this year will be one of those tiny ones in a pot, preferably one that looks a little threadbare and wonky!

A winner has been picked!
Last week's giveaway of the two Calabash pendants from
Lightyears is closed and a winner has been picked. And the winner is... Claudia! (Who by the way has a very nice
tumblr blog.) Congratulations Claudia! I'd love to see the finished corner of the room where you said you wanted to put them because it sounded really stylish with the black walls and driftwood sculpture!

Congratulations Annaleena!
The Swedish bloggosphere has been filled with posts about
Lotta Agaton's styling class this fall, and the final exam was to style a shoot, photographed by
Pia Ulin, for
Therese Sennerholt's new poster collection. The best photo is going to be the official campaign photo. Lotta just published
all the pictures on Facebook and announced that the winner is my sweet and talented friend
Annaleena, who writes the
Try This at Home posts for my blog. A big congrats to Annaleena for doing such an excellent job! Her photo is amazing, but all of the others are great too, so I'm showing some of my favourites here. Enjoy!

Saturday Sweets + a winner
I got a question this week asking for bathroom inspiration, and as I looked through my files I realized it was time to upload some of the photos to the blog so you all can enjoy them. Here you go!
In other news, the winner of the art print giveaway from
L'Affiche Moderne has now been chosen. And the winner is... *drumroll*
Åsa, who wants to improve her relationship to cats and is wishing for the
Cats of the World print by Gemma Correll, thinking an art print could be a good place to start. Congrats, and I hope it helps!

Hues by Tina Hellberg
Interior stylist
Tina Hellberg created these wonderful pictures together with photographer
Magnus Anesund. You can find most of the photos in the latest copy of
Elle Interiör, but one of them didn't make the cut, so that one (the shot of the desk from above) is exclusively shown here.
The theme is hues, or colours, and I love the unexpected colour combinations. Who thought that yellow and pink would look so good together?

Saturday Sweets
A bag full of sweet photos matching the dreary November weather outside my window. All the colourful leaves have fallen now, and left is only grey and brown hues. A thin layer of snow would be nice, to brighten things up a bit, but since we are having unseasonably warm temperatures this autumn, that probably won't happen for a while. On the other hand, it's really nice to be able to pick mushrooms in November, while we were up to our knees in snow this time last year.
