Schöner Wohnen magazine

While reading a post about another German magazine over on Holly's blog Decor8, I found a link to Schöner Wohnen, which looks quite interesting. German style has really come a long way in the last few years! While aimlessly browsing their site (I can't read German and I don't think Google translate works very well) I found this dining room in an old train station. I love that they have left so much intact from the history of the building and instead chose to soften the look with lots of wood!

    Hello from Germany too. Yes, it is a former train station, but it is located in Gstaad, which is in Swizzerland. But, ok ok, the german factor is still given: the subtitle of one photo praises the "Gemütlichkeit" ;-)

    i live in buenos aires, argentina but my dad is german and also a "design freak"... so, he used to buy "schöner wohnen" in the 80´s and 90´s. i love it! actually, once in a while i check the magazine because i still keep them! now they´re my treasure!

    Lol, I never said the place was in Germany, I just said the photos were from a German magazine. :) I know that Gstaad is in Switzerland. :)
