Christmas Calendar 12/12: Olsson & Gerthel

Welcome to a new week of Christmas giveaways! Let's start off in an awesome way with this prize from Olsson & Gerthel consisting of a Wall Clock by Naoto Fukasawa for Plus Minus Zero, a pack of 5 Kin tealight holders in brass by CKR for Skultuna and a Hommage matchbox jacket by Kristina Stark, adding up to a total worth of € 230!

Hej! Kan verkligen inte stå emot att inte vara med och tävla idag!!!

1: I slutet av åttiotalet öppnade Susanne Gerthel tillsammans med Håkan Olson Sveriges första konstgalleri med fokus på arkitektur och design. Men efter några år valde de att förnya sig och öppnade år 1990 sin första butik: Olsson & Gerthel.

2: Det finns väldigt många inspirerande bilder att välja mellan, men den som tilltalar mig mest just nu är: http://www.olssongerthel.se/inspiration#content=1296

Den bilden inspirerar mig för att man kan se att det är ett hem som är, vet inte hur jag ska uttrycka mig, men liksom till för att leva i. Rummet är fyllt med personlighet och de vackra detaljerna får mig att undra vilka det är som faktiskt bor där. Jag skulle inte ha något emot att få sitta där, bläddra i några böcker, tända kubusen och med jämna mellanrum beskåda konsten som hänger på väggarna.

1. De öppnade butiken 1990.

2. Ska jag vara ärlig så blir jag inte inspirerad av inspirationssidan. För det första är det för många bilder bredvid varandra, vart ska ögat ta vägen? Jag blir jättetrött och ger upp. För det andra tycker jag att bilderna är för små, och det vore bättre med fler bilder från samma hem eller bilder från olika vinklar (både rummet i sig och detaljer). Mycket bra att ni skriver vilka av era produkter som finns i bilderna och länkar till produkten! Inne i butiken är det väldigt inspirerande :-)

The reason I linked to this picture is that it really captures the spirit of Olsson & Gerthels range of high quality design and the Scandinavian graphic interior style that I love. Jag plockar russinen ur kakan och inspireras av detaljer mest överallt (y-stolarna, bruno fåtöljen, wallklockan etc!) men de bilder som griper tag i mig starkast är de som ser ut att vara från hem som rymmer liv. Där tavlor och textilier och möbler, tagna ur olika sammanhang, knökar och bökar med varandra och kanske inte helt och fullt passar ihop - men just därför blir så perfekta tillsammans. Det känns mindre ängsligt så, som om man köpt en pjäs för att man älskar just den och inte kunde låta bli, att det kanske inte finns ett självklart släktskap - men en vänskap - mellan delarna som utgör helheten. Det måste vara definitionen av mitt drömhem.

Arco from Flos really is something special! And the lovely bubbelgum pink Montana shelf just puts a big smile on my face. I love Montana's shelf system, all the different sizes and colors inspires me to create my own personal Montana shelf! And then the wonderful view outside the window, with the beautiful winter landscape, makes the furnitures stand out even more! I'd love to be sitting in that room, enjoying the design and the nature! Smashing!

2. Jag blev inspirerad av bilden som visar den svarta pilasterhyllan. Jag planerar köpa en sådan men har haft svårt att avgöra vart jag ska/kan placera den. Inser att det faktiskt funkar att ha den så nära soffan. Blev även inspirerad av hur kubusljusstaken var placerad på en trave vita böcker vilket gav en snygg effekt.
