Modern and cozy Norwegian mountain cabin

This is one of the best decorated ski cabins (or "hytte" as they say in Norway) I have ever seen. The owners really brought nature in and used the traditional "ski lodge accessories" like antlers, wood staples, sheepskin throws etc in a more stylish way by combining them with tougher industrial elements like concrete, metal shelving and lights, and reclaimed weathered wood. The walls and floors are in many different materials and colors, but they are all held together nicely by keeping the color range to white, grey and black with some natural unpainted wood added to the mix.

    great place.. I like all the different lamps they use.. especially the one on that wooden block ... bought a similar one at Merci (in Paris)this summer and am still in to find more ideas to use it

    Galet fin, och snyggt stylad, men hur praktisk i fjällen? Tänker själv på allt jobb det brukar bli när vi ska stänga stugan i Hemavan varje gång vi åker och man måste tänka på kylans effekter på allt pynt. Men de kanske håller den varm året om.

    Hello from Germany - I love the way of the bathroom-styling - we where just in Greece and there you can find often this traditional way of using "Tadelakt", not only in the bathroom, also you can find it in the kitchen and on the floor. It has a warm and cosy shining, and often it is more cheaper than anything else.

    Frida, de kanske inte stänger hyttan? Många norrmän jag känner använder sin stuga året om, så då blir det nog inte så jobbigt. :)



    Emma, kan du inte läsa engelska? 85% av mina läsare kan inte läsa svenska, men i princip alla svenskar kan ju engelska, så jag skriver hellre på engelska för att så många som möjligt ska förstå.
