Notice the pattern in the painting reoccurring in the splash back over the kitchen counters. This makes me want a black wall! Oh, and the sofa, does anyone know where it's from? Or the dining table and benches? I've been looking for benches like that forever!

    I believe the sofa is the Ligne Roset Nomade. I think it's incredibly handsome but unfortunately expensive. I've had my eye on the Nomade-express for some time... but it's one huuuge leap up from my futon :)

    Dear Emma!



    First of all, I love your blog and I am a big fan of yours and therefore I am very very flattered to have pics of my home in your blog :) As said, table is Ilmari Tapiovaara's design and the sofa and the chairs by Ligne Roset.



    Dining table and benches are about 10 years old and need some repainting. I have been thinking of white colour (they manufacture white Pirkka furniture today and white table and benches together look so cool and fresh!!) but on the other hand I love the black-dark brown wood combination... Hmmm...



    Btw, the wall is not black but dark brown :) it looks pretty black but brown is little bit softer on the wall. The picture on the kitchen end wall is painted by me just using the same dark brown paint plus some golden paint (used in lobby). I tried to frame the picture with wide golden and white wooden frames (and get it more like a real painting) but it never worked out as the wall is so big that the painting looked like little peace of s..it on it :) the painting is today replaced by wall fabric.



    There will be more pics from our house soon (as soon as I finish decorating the kid's room). Meanwhile I get inspired from your blog and writings!
