White home in Charlottenlund

Some people say that white interiors are cold and sterile. Well, have a look at this home of Danish designer Nina Kejser and her Italian husband Mario Iadanza, and tell me that again? No, didn't think so. The couple have made a home for themselves in the small town of Charlottenlund just north of Copenhagen in a bright and delicately decorated flat with modern furniture.

    I mitt tycke handlar det inte bara om huruvida man uppskattar vitt (i det här fallet med beige toner) och jag tycker faktiskt att det här blir... tråkigt och rätt tomt på känsla. I de här rummen blir det varken hackat eller malet; inte tillräckligt avskalat för att bli intressant ur ett arkitektoniskt perspektiv men inte tillräckligt mjukt eller personligt för att kännas ombonat. Jag vet att sådant här är så himla populärt hos folk men jag tycker faktiskt att det är totalt ospännande och paradoxalt nog kalt, vilket förstärks av de ickeminimalistiska inredningsdetaljer som faktiskt satts in i inredningen. De blir som stela utställningsobjekt, utan spänning och liv.

    Eva, gud så skönt med riktiga åsikter här för en gångs skull! Ospännande kan jag absolut hålla med om, det är ganska förutsägbart. Men i mina ögon ändå vackert. Jag tycker faktiskt att det känns både ombonat och hemtrevligt, men det kan nog ha att göra med vad man har för referensramar.



    Det här är absolut inte en stil jag vill ha i mitt eget hem, det är alldeles för feminint och "shabby chic" för mig. De där glaskuporna har man ju sett nog av för decennier framåt känns det som. Samma sak med snäckskalslamporna och olivträden.



    Sedan får man ju väga in att det här hemmet är stylat för fotografering. Förhoppningsvis bor de inte såhär!

    It is a very beautiful apartment but I still think that white total look is cold, like if nobody lives in it.

    ...too perfect, nice clean and tidy...life is missing a little bit...no kids I guess...anyway it is beautiful!

    Love all the whites :-) If any of you readers ever visit Denmark you have to visit Charlottenlund. It is just by the water and there are so much to see: A little castle, a wonderfull forrest, old canons from 2. WW, a little cozy town with lot of great stores and then you can see all the way over to Sweden.
