Studio Ina & Matt

We are in the middle of a heatwave here in Sweden with temperatures around 33° C (91°F), which is very unusual for us Northern peeps, so everyone including me are totally overwhelmed by the heat, just laying around on beaches trying to cool off with whatever we can find. So there are lots of icecream, cold foot baths, wet towels and iced drinks going around! Sitting inside a house with no airconditioning isn't too appealing really, and having a hot laptop in your knee for more than a couple if minutes is just out of the question! So therefore, a very quick post today:

This is a home and studio designed by Ina & Matt, a Dutch designer duo with everything from interiors to visual identities on their plate.

oh I totally understand the heatwave issue. we also have it here in Zurich and sometimes I just want the winter to come asap. other than that, nice post!! the interior looks great, love the way its kept so simple! xx

this place is beautiful! it has a special charm, I guess due to all the wood present here. Stay cool, Emma :)

this is amazing. & i bet it would be the perfect place to hide out when the heatwave strikes! the wood would be so cooling. singapore is summer all year round & i've gotten pretty much used to hot weather but these few months have been crazily sweltering :( i swear, the earth is trying to tell us something

Hi, I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the temperature here is around 30 C today, great morning with a great blue sky. The funny thing is it´s winter downhere!
:)

Love those tree columns. Those are sooo cool.

nice pics! I especially like the kitchen and the room with yellow sofa....

Så snyggt! De inbyggda hyllorna är verkligen coola.

This place reminds me of another place I saw in some photo shoots.... Strange... uou are the third person I visit in a row who writes about a Dutch person!

Love the use of raw looking wood in the house! It's so understated cool!

I'd die to have a place like this!

Vad är golvet gjort av - är det polerad cement? Otroligt vackert.

Love the use of raw looking wood in the house and some wonderful modern furniture pieces. Thanks for posting!

The beams definitely steal the show and i love that pop of yellow that the couch adds to the interior!

I like the use of wood as well. You can see the old building amongst the new. Really charming and serene.

oh my gosh, this makes my apartment seem so tiny. i love how it feels warm despite the minimalism.

Amazing space! Random question -

Emma or any commenters know what kind of stove that is in the second picture? Just starting to research options for my place and thats exactly what I am after... just don't know how to describe it. :)

Thanks

Nice collection of pictures of this home and studio. Designer Ina and Matt need a big hand for this. These pictures are a great resource of inspiration for studio design lovers. The use of wood has been done in a modern and wise way keeping in mind the hot Sweden temperature.
