Cool bathrooms from RUM

I really like the "none-bathroomness" of the top bathroom here. The owners decided to skip the usual tile-covered walls, and also used some furniture and decorations that are decidedly not meant for bathrooms, like a chandelier, a Corbusier leather lounge chair, the desk lamp, a vintage chair and a cotton rug. This gave them a bathroom just as stylish as the rest of their home. I always feel it's such a drag to have to skip your usual style when decorating your bathroom, but this proves that you really don't have to! Just use whatever items you have in your other rooms, they can work equally good in a bathroom.

This bathroom below is really nice too, and I think these white tiles and woodfronted tub is quite achievable, even on a budget.

those are so simple and beautiful!!

I love this! I have never been a fan of a conventional bathroom and these images just give me hope! Love it, thank you...

thank you for this post - i'll be redoing our master bath and love the idea of making it like the rest of my home. but i think i want to redo the bath, and then make over the rest of my home to look like the first bathroom!

Fantastiskt fint!!

I love the first one!
I wish it would be mine!
Thanks for sharing it with us!

The first bathroom is to die for! Simply gorgeous ! But must question the safety of a desk lamp on the edge of the tub, however great it looks; Here in France, and I imagine all around the world, all electrics must be two metres from faucets, or any water source...

I love the chair with books...unfortunately I've never had a bathroom with that much space or that much light. :(

Love, love, love this bathroom. Just discovered your blog and can't wait to read more!

I really agree with you about approaching the bathroom wih an open mind like the other rooms in the house, I think the same can be said for kitchens.

Love it! Any idea where to find those floor tiles in the last bathroom?

The tiles in the second bathroom are from Made a Mano. It's a Danish company, but they have retailers all over Europe and one in the US too.

Emma

this is an amazing collection of visual Food.

Thanks for sharing - i love the chair on the third picture and the idea with the woodfronted tub is real cool too ... ;o)
