Tadaaa!

Here it is! A new blog design! Jon from Unbottled was super kind and redesigned my blog for me, just the way I wanted it. I asked him to remove some features that I thought were unnecessary, so it would have a simpler look and feel to it, more back to basics. And less colours, to make the photos in my posts stand out more. Do you like it? I do! Thank you so much Jon!

    I don't like the typewriter font so much :/ It feels like it is doing exactly the opposite of what you wanted to get with the fewer colours.



    but it's the content that matters anyway! :)

    I like the monochromatic look, but the text on both sides take over. Maybe change the color of the text at the margins or make the text smaller or all lower case or have the heading be the only thing you see and if you want to get to the archives it takes you to a separate page. My eyes have gone mad wandering.

    The font is terrible, the letters come out grainy and too small. Also too bright against the white background.

    Uncluttered is good, less is more.

    Men jag är lite inne på Lias linje här ovan. Om du lånar lite av utseendet här i kommentarsfältet, = ljusare grå ton + mindre textstorlek (samma somm "posted by, datum & URL") till sidomenyerna så tror jag det sitter som en smäck sen!



    Och du, grattis i efterskott, Reykjavik verkar fantastiskt! Kram från en till 30-taggare.;)

    Hi Emma.

    I love your blog and have been following it for a while but I have to agree with what someone said above, that the letters are too grainy and small. It´s much more difficult to read your blog now, I think. To be honest, I hate it! Sorry:-( I also agree with what Lia Dominique says about different colour for the text on the margins...

    Hope you are enjoying Reykjavik, my hometown:-)

    Ok, I just looked at the new design on my boyfriend's computer, and realized it looks completely different. Crap. Would the people here who thinks it looks like shit please tell me if they are viewing it on a mac or a windows computer? Because on my mac it looks great. On my bf's windows computer, not so much. The text is too big, grainy and the font is just ugly, amongst other things...

    I just thought of something - it could be the web browsers that people are using to view the site that are causing the discrepancies. IE vs. Firefox vs. Safari, I've dabbled in web design and I know that somethings don't translate well in IE. Something you might want to look into.

    I´m using Safari on a Mac and not impressed at all. Again, sorry:-( The letters in fx. posted by: and URL parts are VERY unclear and difficult to read. The letters in Guide to Stockholm under kategories are hardly visible, almost white and the letters on the margins on both sides are too small. Also the picture at the top is very bland and uninteresting, to me anyway. I´m so sorry, because I love your blog! But right now it´s very difficult for me to read. Not good....

    Roligt med en ny design! Det sporrar alltid vidare när man får en liten uppdatering av formatet tycker jag. Den första fonten var fin på sitt sätt, men stod ut lite mycket. Nu känns det mer lättläst och texten blir ett med bakgrunden på ett annat sätt. All lycka framåt!

    The FONT (Courier?) in the former version, the part where it said Posted by...URL...and the part with the date (2009-03-04) was very thin and grainy, on my side anyway. I struggled to read it before, but now it´s much better:-)

    I'm on a Mac, using both Safari and Firefox, and the blog looked quite chaotic with the courier, but it's much, much better now after the font change. I like it again. Just thought I'd put in my two cents' worth, in case it's helpful! The photos dominate again while the text recedes, and that's good.
