Dreaming of a Christmas tree

Everyone who's ever had kittens knows that Christmas decorations and cats don't mix. Especially not Christmas trees. So we aren't going to have a tree this year, and it makes me feel a little sad. But just a little. That was until I saw Jonathan's tree over at his blog Happy Mundane. It's awesome! He has a white tree with homemade but totally stylish decorations. I've swooned over his trees for the last two years too, but this time he has outdone himself.  So now I'm more than a little sad... I'm totally jealous!
I'm going to post a few pictures of the finished results below, but for more pictures and instructions on how to make the decorations yourself you'll have to hop over to Happy Mundane.

    i'm curious. has your cat already destroyed one? my cat loves the tree and spends the better part of his day under it. he hasn't tried to eat or destroy it in any way. but maybe this isn't typical cat behaviour

    No, our cats haven't had the chance to destroy any tree yet, but they have pushed over a vase with a branch decorated with baubles. And they try to get those baubles down every day. So I don't feel like taking the chance of giving them a whole tree to ruin. :)

    Actually, we have to cats. We got them this spring, so they are still young and very playful! However, I'm not going to post any pictures here, since it is a design blog after all, and even though they are beautiful, they don't belong here. Same thing goes for the pics of my daughter that some people have been asking for. :)
