Air Lines by Mario Freese
I love these Air Lines art posters by Mario Freese. I have a thing for maps, the more unusual they look the better, and I love to travel. What's more, I really like the simple lines of these, with no country borders or outlines of the continents, it gives me a feeling of possibilities and freedom!
Air Lines is an art project showing worldwide airliner routes. Every single scheduled flight on any given day is reresented by a fine line from it's point of origin to it's port of destination. Thereby forming a net of thousands of lines. Hubs like JFK, FRA or DXB turn into dark knots where lines meet, lesser served local services are only are a subtle hint.
The poster comes in black or white, and they are huge, 46" wide, just like a world map is supposed to be!
