Design and style from a Scandinavian perspective

Bonjour Mon Coussin

Just throwing some cushions at you while I wait for the sun to come back! These are from Bonjour Mon Coussin.

New sponsor: Green Tea Design

I have a new sponsor, and I'd like to take a moment to introduce them to you!
Green Tea Design is a Toronto based online store for antique and traditionally inspired contemporary Asian furniture, all hand-built from reclaimed wood. Large beams are reclaimed from older structures like country homes, barns and warehouses in Korea, and then carefully handcrafted in every step up until the final product. This makes for a sustainable, green production line, where no trees are felled!

Over the next month Green Tea would like to offer all my readers a 10% discount on the contemporary pieces in their Living room furniture collection (valid for all pieces, for example tv stands, coffee tables, end tables and entertainment centers, except for the Maru coffee tables). Just mention the "Emma's blog discount" when you check out to recieve the discount.

Summer vacation!

I will be taking a break from blogging for a while. There is just so much more inspiration to be found outside in the sun than from sitting in front of the computer screen right now! But I will be reviving last years summer blog, lazy days, for those of you who are interested in following my summer days in Stockholm, and perhaps some other parts of Sweden as well. Hope to see you there!

To show you a bit of what I think a typical summer in Sweden should be like, I want to show you some pictures from the lovely house of Jenny Findahl and Joe Bentley, in the outer archipelago of Stockholm. For more, and a text in Swedish, click here.

Bathroom Eye Candy

For Sandra who wished for some inspiring bathroom photos. Enjoy!

Flickr Favourites Friday

So this is my week, as I interpret it through other people's photos. I guess if you weren't there, this might be a bit hard to comprehend. Even if you were there with me, you would think this week was quite strange, but you might recognize some bits and pieces in these pictures...

Photographer James Merrell

Today I have really been enjoying the huge online portfolio of British photographer James Merrell, I think I spent almost an hour browsing all the beautiful pictures! Below are some of my favourites from part one of the portfolio, but there are four different parts so you should head over there as soon as you have some free time, because it is all so good!

Eye Candy

So, can anybody spot the theme for today's Eye Candy post?
