Andrea Larsson, 34 years old, interior designer and stylist, living in Charlottenlund about 15 min. north of Copenhagen, Denmark.

1. What is your background/education?
I'm actually a school teacher. But after I got my two children in 2001 I started working as an interior stylist , opened an interior shop in Copenhagen and that's what got me here today.

2. Why did you become a stylist?
I think I just wanted to do something creative and different than teaching. Design and architecture has always been interesting for me. I love decorating and matching stuff.

3. What are you working on at the moment?
I work as a designer on a tv-program "fra skrot til slot", which is an interior design program. I do a lot of interior decorating : Right now I'm working on a couple of bathrooms for a private client. Im also working on some of my own products , especially a line of wallpapers. Wallpapers are my biggest passion. I have on the side a small company with my sister Rebecca Elbek who is a jewellery designer. We make boxes of vintage wallpapers and other interior items, and some clothes in Liberty fabrics.

4. Some things that you like:
I love wallpapers, especially vintage wallpapers, which I collect. I love the colours and the different patterns.

5. Some things that you dislike:
I think everything can look good in the right mix. ... except maybe a few items like cheap wall to wall carpets, "stressless" sofas and chairs, plastic garden furniture ...

6. What inspires you?
Colours, patterns, mix of styles. Travelling, art, shapes, old movies, fashion.

7. Favourite designers?
I have many... Some of them; Charles Eames, Danish Bjørn Wiinblad, my husband Rasmus Larsson (Design by us), wallpaper designer Florence Broadhurst ...

8. What is your decorating style at home?
A mix of different styles and design. Modern furniture, a lot of textiles and wallpapers. I like to make the perfect mix of different styles and colours.

9. Your latest purchase for your home?
A fantastic oversized lamp I got from my husband for Christmas "angel poise". And some Indian Quilts from my other interior company DAISY.

10. What is your best decorating advice?
Decorate with what you like and then mix it with modern design or classics. Don't hold back, experiment, that's the best way to get your own style. And of course, wallpapers is a perfect way to add some personal style to your home.
